This privacy policy explains what information SVG Prep (accessible at svgprep.com) collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information. We have written this policy to be clear and straightforward because we know our users — crafters and small business owners — care deeply about the privacy of their creative work.

1. Image Processing — 100% Client-Side

SVG Prep is a client-side web application. All image processing happens entirely within your web browser. This includes color reduction, background removal, color separation, layer generation, and file export. No image data is ever transmitted to any server, stored in any database, or accessible to anyone other than you.

When you upload an image to SVG Prep, it is read directly into your browser's memory using the HTML5 File API. Processing is performed using the Canvas API and Web Workers running JavaScript on your device. Exported files are generated in your browser and downloaded directly to your computer or phone.

You can verify this yourself at any time by opening your browser's Developer Tools (F12), switching to the Network tab, and observing that no image data is sent anywhere while you use the tool.

2. Data Collection

SVG Prep does not collect any personal information. Specifically:

• No account or registration — there is no signup, login, or user account system
• No personal data — we do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any identifying information
• No usage analytics — we do not use any first-party analytics, tracking pixels, or telemetry
• No image data — your uploaded images, processed results, and exported files are never transmitted or stored
• No local storage — SVG Prep does not write to your browser's localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB, or any other persistent storage. When you close the tab, all data is gone

3. Cookies

SVG Prep itself does not set any cookies. However, our advertising partner (Google AdSense) may set cookies on your device for the purpose of serving and measuring advertisements. These cookies are set and managed by Google, not by SVG Prep.

You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block third-party cookies, which would prevent advertising cookies without affecting SVG Prep's functionality. The tool works identically with or without cookies enabled.

4. Third-Party Advertising

SVG Prep displays advertisements through Google AdSense to support the free tool. Google AdSense is a third-party service operated by Google LLC. Through AdSense, Google may:

• Use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites
• Collect certain technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and browsing patterns for ad targeting and measurement
• Allow third-party ad networks to serve ads and collect information

SVG Prep has no access to or control over the data collected by Google AdSense. Our only revenue comes from ad impressions — we do not sell data, offer premium tiers, or monetize user information in any way.

5. Offline Functionality

SVG Prep works completely offline after the initial page load. Once the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript have been downloaded to your browser, you can disconnect from the internet and continue using all image processing and export features. This further demonstrates that no server communication is required for the tool's core functionality.

6. Children's Privacy

SVG Prep does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13 years of age. Since the tool collects no personal information whatsoever, there is no mechanism through which children's data could be gathered.

7. Third-Party Links

SVG Prep may contain links to external websites such as Cricut.com, Silhouette America, or crafting resources. These external sites have their own privacy policies that we do not control. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit through links on our pages.

8. Data Security

Because SVG Prep does not collect, transmit, or store any user data, there is no user data to secure on our end. Your image data exists only in your browser's memory during your session and is automatically cleared when you close the tab or navigate away.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Since SVG Prep collects no personal data, any changes would relate only to third-party advertising practices or the addition of new features.
